Blue Chevron Toes

I like putting chevron patterns on my toes,
for this pedicure I used China Glaze's
For Audrey

For the chevron I used Finger Paints'
Hip Hip Hue-Ray!

And Stripe Rite's black nail art polish

Gold Frames

This nails may look a bit beat up since I cleaned a bunch post-application but pre-pictures but
whatevs

For this manicure I used OPI's
I Eat Mainely Lobster which is a medium coral color

Then I used Stripe Rite's Gold nail art polish
to frame my nails

Framing your nails is a little tricky, but remember that
you can use a q-tip with some acetone to clean up any mistakes.

French Tips & Studs

So I cut my nails. They were getting in the way and it was annoying.
The first manicure I did with short nails was french tips, but then I wanted to do studs
so I did an accent nail...

For the accent nail I used Finger Paints' Black Expressionism
and I used a ball chain I found at Jo-Ann's

On the rest of my nails I used Finger Paints' Hip Hip Hue-Ray
And I use Seche Vite for a top coat

Hue Left a Message?

I went to Sally looking for the color Pom Pom by China Glaze,
but they didn't carry it, so I found this Finger Paints color that I actually like better
and was also cheaper than China Glaze by $1.50

I like that the pink isn't super vibrant, and in some
lights it actually looks a little bronze-ish

Anyway, the color is called Hue Left a Message?
and for this look I put on about three or four coats

Flip Flop Fantasy

This is my favorite color to wear for summer because its so bright and pretty!

It's Flip Flop Fantasy by China Glaze

For this color, and most china glaze colors, you need to apply at least two coats
to get the color totally opaque and consistent throughout the surface of the nail.
I even put three coats on some nails I wasn't satisfied with.

But as you can see, it is worth it, and creates a beautiful color that
contrasts nicely with sun-kissed skin.
Man, that sounds cheesy.

Ikat Nails/ Product Review

I have been wanting to do the Ikat print on my nails for awhile,
it's a pretty manicure but it's a little difficult.
You have to have the right black nail art polish and I still don't.

For the base color I used
OPI's Melon of Troy

For the white I used Sally Hansen's White On

The blue is China Glaze's For Audrey

And I was forced to use a sparkly black nail art polish
(Finger Paint's Vintage Masterpiece)
instead of plain black because my black one is awful.

This is my absolutely terrible black nail art polish.
I would not recommend this unless
you want a polish that gets super gooey and clumpy
and then smears when you put top coat on it.

Tan Lines

I really wanted to do a more neutral manicure so,
I picked out this light tan color called
Almost Almond by Sally Hansen

Then I added the lines on the tips of my nails using
Stripe Rite's Gold nail art polish.

If you are purchasing nail art polishes, I strongly recommend
Stripe Rite because the brush is super thin, allowing you to make your manicure look exactly how you imagined in your head  :)

Neon Coral Swatch

This is a neon coral color called
Punki Pink by Nina

If you want a more pink color instead of the coral,
you can put a coat of white polish underneath, and it will be lighter.

Later I added silver nail tape

Lilac Leopard

For this manicure I used the Revlon polish Lilac Pastelle

For the spots on the accent leopard print nail, I used
Essie's Penny Talk...

and the Art Deco black nail art polish

French Tips

This french tip manicure was a lot easier than it seems.
After using a base coat, I put on one layer of OPI's Mimosas for Mr. and Mrs.

Then I cut tape to have a curved edge so that the white polish wouldn't
be completely straight because I don't like that look.
For the white polish I used Sally Hansen's Xtreme wear White On
I do recommend this polish because it is less likely to chip.

Turquoise and Tribal

I absolutely love this manicure! It's seriously adorable and I love the tribal accent nail.

The blue color is For Audrey by China Glaze

The accent nail was Finger Paint's Black Expressionism
with Finger Paint's Hip Hip Hue-Ray!

The perfect color for the blog :)

This is the only decent picture I got of my nails since I was camping for 4th of July weekend, but the color is Spontaneous by China Glaze and even though I left it plain, it is still a beautiful color. The only thing is that after a few days the polish started getting what appeared to be cracks in it, but thats ok because I don't leave polish on for that long anyway.

Neon "Pink" with Black and White Triangle Detail

This was an interesting pedicure because the polish I thought was going to be a really neon medium pink turned out to be more like a dark coral color, but it's ok because I still love the way it turned out. I used New York Color's Matte Me Crazy for a top coat.

The neon coral-ish polish is by Nina and called Punki Pink
(its a lot more neon and intimidating looking in person)

Another interesting thing about this polish was the brush, which was about the size of two regular brushes.

The white polish I used was Hip Hip Hue-Ray! by Finger Paints
The black polish I used was LA Colors' Art Deco black Nail Art Lacquer

Pink & Gold Chevron

This design is one of my favorites, it was inspired by a gold and red design I saw on pinterest and I turned it into a more summer-y type look using a light pink polish. This design took two days to do only because I don't currently have a polish with a thin brush that is in that color of gold, and also because I wanted the lines to be perfectly straight.

For the pink, I used three coats of OPI's It's a Girl

And then waited a day, and used tape to add the gold chevron design for which I used OPI's Glizterland
