Matte Pink

Hi! So I started this blog back in the beginning of July, and I would like to find out if I have any "followers" of my blog. If you have been to spontanaility before, and enjoy the blog, please comment below! And even if this is the first post you have seen on the blog, comment if you like it! And if you yourself have a nail blog, I'd love to hear some feedback!

This manicure incorporates one of my favorite colors, It's a Girl by OPI, over a few coats of white to make it even more pastel. The white I used is Sally Hansen's  White On, and the matte top coat is Matte Me Crazy by NYC.

*note: this was taken using my iPhone camera so that's why it's not as clear as my other photos!

Bright Blue Toes

For awhile I have been looking for the perfect shade of bright blue,
and I finally found it!
It's called Butler Please, and it's by Essie

I love Essie's colors and their formula, the one thing that gets me
is the brush, it's too small for me.
I like wide brushes because it makes it easier to get even layers on my nails,
this is one reason I love OPI's newer brushes.

The corners of my big toe I did with Finger Paint's Hip Hip Hue-Ray
and Stripe Rite's Neon Yellow nail art polish

Silver Koi

This summer, orange is a popular color, along with bold neons.
This orange polish is
Japanese Koi by China Glaze,

I recommend using 3 coats of this polish, because
like most China Glaze polishes, it does not apply very evenly.
Also, it is quite thin

For the accent nail, I used Sally Hansen's Insta-Dri
#230, Silver Sweep
I love this polish because it has that chrome-like look to it,
even though if you want your nails to look very chrome, I think
the only way is with nail stickers.
I also love this polish because it is thick, which
I have noticed is fairly consisted among Insta-Dri polishes
and, of course, it dries almost immediately.

Secret Periwinkle

For this manicure I used
China Glaze's Secret Periwinkle,
for the accent nail I used Secret Periwinkle as the base, and then
used this tiny bottle of sparkly Sally Girl polish that was on clearance at Sally for like 25 cents.

Neon Glitz

For this manicure I used
China Glaze's Flip Flop Fantasy
and on the accent nail I used
China Glaze's Glitz'N Pieces

I used about 4 or 5 coats of Glitz'N Pieces to achieve the full coverage

Product Review: Sally Hansen Dry Kwik

Sally Hansen Dry Kwik is a nail color dryer
This is not a top coat, but it is a valuable product to have in your collection;
Apply Dry Kwik on your cuticles and nails after you have applied your polish, leave it on for a few minutes,
then you can massage it into your cuticles.
In my opinion, it doesn't give enough shine and protection to be a topcoat,
so after I have worked it into my cuticles,
I make sure all the oil is off of my nails and apply Seche Vite.

Chili

This is a Revlon Top Speed fast drying nail polish called Chili (No. 430)
It is a red-orange color (a little more red than orange)

I used two coats, but you can use however many you want,
as long as you make the coats fairly thin because the polish
has a hard time drying if it goes on too thick.
Also, I recommend NOT using a base coat because
the "Top Speed" fast drying action
works best on bare nails.
